Susana Gómez Escalante, head of Medical Translations, has a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, UK. She also obtained the BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Miguel Hernández, Spain. She has developed her research activity at the University of Sheffield and at Spanish State research centres (CSIC). She has also worked for the private sector in the area of translation, writing and pharmaceutical education. She has specialised in medical translation and writing, with several courses and a Master's Degree in Medical-Healthcare Translation from Jaume I University of Castellón, Spain. She is now dedicated to scientific communication. She is a member of The International Association of Translators and Editors in Medicine and Applied Sciences (TREMÉDICA).
